I'm kind of getting that at the moment, just not fit enough yet. It does go once you build up your fitness, if not see a doc like Fraser said.

If you are in pain all the time, go see a doctor.
I get sore after training, but my knee and elbow has been shot for years. That soreness maybe lasts a day. After matches unless there was a collision I do not get sore.

It's okay Fraser I'm here now, I'll conclude my diagnosis in my next statement.

I know this is a crazy idea, but ever heard of painkillers? Also was wondering why you'd ask a goalkeeping forum this question? We're not doctors, well except me but I'm currently on my tea break... Go see your GP.

I can sympathize with the original post in this thread. I used to be indestructible (at least that's how I felt). I played wide receiver and strong safety in American football, catcher in baseball, and goalie in ice hockey from say six years old into my late twenties. That's a lot of collisions and getting drilled with baseballs and hockey pucks all over. I never once missed a game in any sport due to injury. I never broke a bone, never tore anything, worst I ever had injury wise was bruised ribs (only once) and the occasional rolled ankle. I got knocked unconscious once playing hockey, came to, and finished the game (hockey has a far different sporting culture than football). At 29 I started playing football.
Then I turned 30. This past year I've had a stress fracture in one of my metatarsals, a shoulder impingement, an ACL sprain, a tear in my meniscus, platellar tendonitis, a hyper extended thumb, a muscle tear in my forearm and a sports hernia.
The trick to not playing in pain is to never turn 30, or at least make sure no one tells your body that you did.
